When I learned about the power of citric acid and discovered this fantastic recipe, I thought I'd give it a try. After saving our orange peels (I kept them in a bag in the freezer in the meantime), I left them in glass bottles that contained half water/half vinegar. This will serve as the base for our natural all-purpose cleaner.

I came across this informative link today when I was searching for natural cleaning product recipes. I wish I could show this to everyone who asks~ "What makes homemade soap (and any other product sold at Garden Path Homemade Soap) so much better for me?"

Yesterday a customer and I had a discussion about palm oil. Palm oil used by
Garden Path Homemade Soap is sustainably grown and produced on a plantation that
is not used on Rain Forest land. Our supplier is a member of RSPO (Roundtable
Sustainable Palm Oil).

Now in the works - Christmas seasonal soaps including traditional candycane, evergreen and cranberry fig. It takes a minimum of two weeks of curing for bar soap to be ready, but Garden Path prefers 4-6 weeks which produces a harder bar that is even milder and lasts much longer.

This beautiful boy was released this morning at Garden Path. Like most babies, he hatched early in the morning. He then hung to dry his wings and gain the energy required to fly.

Businesses that deal with the public benefit from the convenience and sanitary value of liquid hand soap. But what does commercial liquid hand soap contain? The Body Shop produces a huge line of wonderfully scented foaming hand soaps, but unfortunately, they are all anti-bacterial and contain Triclosan. The attached article offers some insight into the dangers of chemicals in many of the everyday products we use.
